Description of Services: |
The clinic is a space where people can use their own substance in a safe environment under the supervision of medically trained staff * helps prevent and reverse overdoses, decrease the spread of infectious diseases, and reduce public drug use Primary health care services including wound care, vaccination and counselling is available, in addition to a drug testing service to provide clients with greater awareness of what’s in their substances. Also offered are referrals to other wrap-around support services including housing, mental health, addictions treatment, and harm reduction teaching Operated by Moyo Health and Community Services with WellFort Community Health Services as the clinical lead, the clinic is authorized by Health Canada to operate under an Urgent Public Health Need Site exemption |
