| Description of Services: |
The Vulnerable Persons' Registry (VPR) helps police and the community locate missing people. The registry allows the caregivers and/or parents of vulnerable people to submit vital information that will be used by emergency services during a crisis situation (e.g. person is missing, hostile behavior, etc) Those eligible to participate are people who because of a medical (e.g. Alzheimer's diseases, Autism Spectrum Disorder, brain injury, etc.), mental health or physical condition may pose a danger to themselves and/or others To register online, you must provide the following for the person being registered:
Contact and other Support Person: provide name, date of birth, address and contact information For vulnerable person 17 years and younger information to be renewed yearly For vulnerable persons 18 years and older information to be renewed every two years Information provided will only be used by police personnel for the purposes of this program |
