Program: Stroke Exercise Program

Organization: Ontario Health atHome - Brampton
Description of Services: The Stroke Program is a targeted intervention designed for moderate and severely-affected persons with stroke (TIA excluded) and who are at risk for falls. Eligible participants may be able to access in-person option at various sites in the Central West area or a virtual option that can be accessed from the comfort of their home. Twice per week, participants will attend group exercise sessions that are geared towards improving strength, balance, and supporting the management of their condition. Education related to home safety, promoting mobility, injury avoidance and other topics are integrated into the group sessions. Under the supervision of a physiotherapist, this program is led by a qualified physiotherapy assistant

Classes are located in:
  • Bramalea
  • Brampton
  • North Etobicoke
