Program: COPD Exercise Program

Organization: Ontario Health atHome - Brampton
Description of Services: The COPD Program is a targeted intervention designed for individuals with a formal diagnosis of COPD with symptoms that are affecting ADLs/IADL function and who are at risk for falls. Eligible participants may be able to access in-person option at various sites in the Central West area or a virtual option from the comfort of their home. Twice per week, participants will attend group exercise sessions that are geared towards improving strength, balance, and supporting the management of their chronic disease. Education related to home safety, promoting mobility, injury avoidance and other topics are integrated into the group sessions. Under the supervision of a physiotherapist, this program is led by a qualified physiotherapy assistant

  • Brampton
  • North Etobicoke
  • Orangeville
